The design of household products reflect the society in which they are created, at the same time the society, its people and its culture also have influences and leave their traces on product designs. Looking at the design of products in everyday life, the viewer might see the life of the society and people who use them with glimpses of their hopes and their dreams.
The items in this exhibition were selected by Hiroshi Kashiwagi, Professor of Musashino Art University; Makoto Koizumi, designer; Nobuko Shimuta, Chief Producer of Nippon Design Center; and Masafumi Fukagawa, Curator of Kawasaki City Museum.
