เรื่องราวสะท้อนประสบการณ์ชีวิตของเด็กในยุคที่ประเทศกัมพูชาตกอยู่ภายใต้การปกครองของกองทัพเขมรแดง ผ่านเทคนิคกายกรรม การเต้นรำ และการแสดงละครร่วมสมัย มอบความบันเทิงแก่ผู้ชมผ่านความคิดริเริ่มสร้างและทักษะการแสดงที่มีเอกลักษณ์

ผลงานในครั้งนี้ได้รับการพัฒนาอย่างต่อเนื่อง โดยมีจุดเริ่มต้นจากการอบรมเชิงปฏิบัติการในโครงการพัฒนาศิลปินลุ่มแม่น้ำโขงครั้งที่ 5

โดย สถาบัน Phare Ponleu Selpak ซึ่งเป็นองค์กรการศึกษาเพื่อสังคม ที่ให้ความรู้ด้านศิลปะ ดนตรี การแสดง และกายกรรม ให้กับกลุ่มเด็กและเยาวชนผู้ด้อยโอกาสในประเทศกัมพูชา

The performance that brings together the spectacle of circus and  the contemporary dance theatre with the innovative re-telling stories from the Khmer Rough experience performed by Phare Ponleu Selpak, the Cambodian theatre group.

“Distant Haze” is developed as part of Mekong Creative Communities; Arts for Advocacy Fellowship program 2010 organized by Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA). Main support from Save the Children through the European Union,  Additional contributions from Terre des Hommes
